Hi everyone! I would really appreciate your
support as I run for this worthy charity. As a former cross country
runner with a deep interest in Latin America, I really felt this
would be a great undertaking. I will be in my first semester in a
Latin American Studies MA program at Georgetown this fall and the
Marine Corps Marathon
will also be my first marathon. Through the influence of some great
teachers and some wonderful travel experiences, I was drawn to study
the history, language, and culture of the region. I really feel a
deep desire to help alleviate poverty and draw attention to its
causes. I am currently training hard for my marathon debut. I hope
the race goes well and I can raise some money for a cause I believe
in while I am at it.
