Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page!
For someone who hasn’t seen the social and
economic differences in Latin America, and its effects in the lives
of thousands of children, it is no problem to simply say “no” at the
opportunity to running 26.2 miles, without thinking on how this
physical effort that may seem monumental at the time really means
nothing compared to the problems children living under the poverty
line in Latin America go through, every day.
Having been born in Colombia, and later lived in Venezuela, I’ve
seen enough and can tell you the percentage experts speculate to be
living under poverty in Latin America, sometimes seem higher.
Therefore, I couldn’t turn away from this opportunity to help and
make a minuscule difference in the lives of these children, so I've
decided to run the Marine Corps Marathon in support of the
Children of Peru Foundation, this Fall - October 31st.
It is my goal to raise $500 to support this great cause, and I thank
you for your support on reaching this goal.
