CPF Runner at Big Sur - April 2013
We are currently working with the
following organizations:
Samusocial Peru,
based in Huaycan (poor neighborhood near Lima), created
by the French NGO Samusocial de Paris, they
operate two ambulances (one of which was bought by the
Children of Peru foundation) that go daily to
Huaycan in search of people (mainly children) in need of
immediate medical assistance. We financed the
construction of new classrooms in the Huaycan
high-school as well as a program to fight against
tuberculosis and also several yearly operating costs of
the ambulances.
MMFC (Medical
Missions for Children), a US based 501c3 charity
dedicated to providing free quality surgical & dental
services to poor & under-privileged children in various
countries throughout the world. We sponsor their yearly
Cusco mission since 2007 & the new Cajamarca mission
since 2010.
Manos Unidas,
a Peruvian Non-Profit Organization founded in 2008 in
Cusco, created & operates the first private school for
special needs children in Cusco: Camino Nuevo. We
provided funding for scholarships
EnsenaPeru, a
Peruvian Non-Profit Organization based in Lima, part of
the Teach For All global network & modeled after
the Teach For America famous NGO. We are sponsors
of one school and its 2 teachers near Arequipa.
